I recently bought a miniature Australian Shepherd puppy from Barb Wilson, owner of Willow River Farm, in
Wisconsin. From the moment that I first talked to Barb she has been friendly and available to answer questions
and help me through this process! I live in Georgia and had the puppy shipped via Delta Cargo and the process
was very efficient! Our new little girl, Isabella, arrived safely! It is very obvious that the Wilson's love the breed and
are very knowledgeable about Aussies! There is a lot of helpful information on their website! Bella has been well
loved, cared for and socialized and has instantly fit into our family! This was my first time buying a dog from a
breeder and I am so thankful for a wonderful experience! I would definitely recommend Willow River Farm to
anyone who is wanting to add an Aussie to their home! 7/26/2012
Very great puppies
We bought two puppies from this breeder and are over joyed by them. In fact we went to them
because I was leery about buying a dog unseen-their place was super clean -with well mannered
dogs who were very much loved by the owners. Darleen
Wonderful Puppies
I purchased a wonderful little Aussie from Barb & Greg. They are just the greatest people. They
have given me plenty of information about my little Aussie & lots of support. She was just the
greatest joy when I received her & was able to meet the two people who gave me my gift. Highly
recommend getting puppies from them. Bonnie

Just dropping a line to let you know how Oliver is doing. He's great! A little maniac, but an absolute sweetie.
He's doing really well with obedience training, and I've been having zero problems with socializing him. He
loves everyone! I bring him to the dog park all the time, and he has done really well with the other dogs. I
never have any trouble with recall, he never gets more than 10 feet away from me without running back to
make sure its ok.

A NEW FDA report claims that 360 dogs and one cat have died in the last 18 months, after eating chicken jerky treats made in China.
Currently there are 2,200 reports of illnesses linked to the treats - the deaths are included in that number. There is no geographic pattern to the illnesses and deaths - cases have been reported from all 50 states and 6 Canadian provinces.
---------------------------------- Treats Involved ----------------------------------
Chicken jerky (treats, tenders, and strips), but others include duck, sweet potato, and treats where chicken or duck jerky is wrapped around dried fruits, sweet potatoes, or yams.
In the past 10 years, there has been a dramatic increase in importation of pet food from China. It is estimated that nearly 86 million pounds of pet food came from China in 2011. Pet treats, including jerky pet treats, are currently considered the fastest growing segment in the pet food market.

I love doing this, all my dogs are beautiful and so much fun, i do not think anyone gets as many kisses a day as I do. Each dog has a different adorable personality and a unique way of showing there love back to me. Together with my wonderful husband, We enjoy our farm life and our animals. Once you have a Aussie you would not want a different breed. My joy is to hug and welcome each new puppy and watch as they develop there little personality. I love to get pictures from there new families after they have grown up. We have met the nicest people and I am truly blessed to care for this amazing breed..

DANGER WISCONSIN HEALTH RISK
FOR DOGS

Hey Barb, I'm the girl from Eau Claire that bought a red merle male from you on Easter Sunday last year. I just wanted to send you an update on Mickey (We call him Mick for short) since he turned 1 today! He is a beautiful and wonderful boy! Everyone in Eau Claire recognizes him and always tells Mick "hi" when they walk by him (I don't think they even know my name!) I love him so much, and I can't thank you enough. He is my buddy and wakes me up every morning like clock-work to go on his walk. I am fortunate enough to work at a place that allows dogs to come to the office, so from time to time, he accompanies me and hangs out at the office with me. He is spoiled there.
We went through obedience class – because I had more to learn than he did – and he did great. He learned so quick and all the obedience teachers were amazed at what a beautiful dog he is. One of them even asked me if I would consider showing him! Unfortunately, I don't have time for that, but I know he'd get first place. :)
I've attached a few photos; two were taken today (his 1-year-old pics) and one was taken on Christmas morning. Hope you enjoy them, and I hope you and your husband and all of your fuzzy family members are doing well.

Hy-Vee Recall
----------------------------------
Hy-Vee, Inc. today issued a voluntary recall of certain bags of Hy-Vee dog
food due to elevated levels of a chemical contaminant commonly found in
corn.
Routine random tests conducted by the Iowa Department of Agriculture
indicated higher-than-normal levels of aflatoxin in some samples of Hy-Vee
dog food produced at a Kansas City plant operated by Pro-Pet, LLC.
Aflatoxin is a naturally occurring by-product from the growth of Aspergillus
flavus and can be harmful to pets if consumed in significant quantities.
Pets which have consumed this product and exhibit symptoms of illness
including sluggishness or lethargy combined with a reluctance to eat,
vomiting, yellowish tint to the eyes or gums, or diarrhea should consultant
a veterinarian.
The recalled products carry three different “Best By” dates and were
distributed to Hy-Vee stores in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska,
South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin between October 26, 2012 and
January 11, 2013.
Natura Pet Products is voluntarily recalling specific lots of dry pet food because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The affected products are sold in bags
through veterinary clinics, select pet
specialty retailers, and online in the
United States, Canada, Korea,
Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, and
Costa Rica. Product expiration dates
range from 12/17/2013 – 1/2/2014.
Product was distributed by Natura Pet
Products between December 18, 2012
through March 15, 2013. No other dry
food, canned food, biscuits, bars or
treats are affected by this
announcement.

Iams, a brand of P&G Pet Care Co. of Mason, Ohio, has voluntarily recalled a limited number of Shakeables Soft &
Chewy Treats for Dogs because of a potential to become moldy.

The lots numbers, printed on the bottom of each can, are the first four digits shown on the second line.
The affected lots are: 2342, 2325, 2331, 2332, 2341, 3016, 3017, 3018 and 3046 (turkey) and 2338 (lamb).
